Think of Bill & Paul’s as a local Dick’s Sporting Goods. You still get the reliability of name brands that you know you already trust and love, but with the local feel that you deserve. B&P’s is best known for it’s skiing, so if that’s your jam, make sure you come here for all your ski needs. Fortunately, they have much more than that for us non-skiiers too. Paddlesports, hiking and camping, and climbing too, they have a little of everything including equipment rentals. B&P’s have been around for 5 decades and we hope they stick around for a lot longer.

Mostly a fly fishing outfitters, Nomad is a local shop known for its excellent service. They won’t try and sell you anything you don’t need and will instead go out of their way to educate and help you as best as they can. You will leave prepared for your next adventure. Located on the Beltline, Nomad is your one stop shop for all your fishing needs.

The new(ish) Moosejaw located across the street from the Downtown Market offers all the coolest gear and apparel from the brands you love including Brooks, Columbia, North Face, Patagonia, Merrell, Black Diamond, Garmin, and more. It will outfit you for all your favorite activities whether you are hiking, camping, biking, snowshoeing, trail running, cycling, or doing something else equally awesome. They price match to any US-based retailer’s website which we think is pretty impressive. What really makes Moosejaw incredible is the staff. They are incredibly knowledgeable about their gear and will go out of their way to assist without being pushy. Stop in before your next adventure!

Cabela’s is our “World’s Foremost Outfitter” right here in Grand Rapids. By no means a local shop, we are still very glad to have one here in our backyard. Cabela’s has something for every outdoor activity. If you are planning on hunting, Cabela’s has something for that. Shooting this weekend? They’ve got you covered. Fishing trip with the pals? They have something for any fishing style and bait too. They can also deck you out for your boating needs as well as camping, auto & ATV, while having a large selection of outdoor clothes, footwear, home & cabin (ie. grills, patio furniture, etc.), and even hobbies (bird watching, brew making, and all things tech).
