Fishing Day Trips

Feeling up for a fishing trip but not sure where to start? Maybe you are eager to head out but want the tools and advice of a pro? Know what you’re doing, but want the company of some equally knowledgable fishing enthusiasts? Betts Guide Service is West Michigan’s best way to spend the day on the water!

Based out of Newaygo, they offer half day and full day trips. Full Day trips are $350 and Half Day trips are $250. Corporate Trips or large groups can be accommodated as well. They can guide up to 10 anglers with advance notice.

They fish on the Muskegon, Manistee, Pere Marquette, Grand, White, and Au Sable Rivers. You should expect to catch salmon, steelhead, trout, smallmouth bass, and/or Atlantic salmon depending on the season and current reports which are updated frequently on their website.

Michigan River Fishing Calendar:
Spring Steelhead – March, April, May
Trout – May, June, July, August
Smallmouth Bass – June, July, August 
Salmon – Late August, September, October
Fall Steelhead – November, December
Winter Steelhead – December, January, Febuary, March
