The 5 Best Fall-Things to Do in Grand Rapids
Now that Grand Rapids' premiere fall event, ArtPrize, is over, it's time to look at the other things to do for the remaining fall weeks in West MI. As a community, we are lucky enough to be able to be a short drive away from some of the best fall things to do in the West Michigan and Grand Rapids areas respectively. Here's a list!
1. Take a Fall Color Tour

Grand Rapids and the surrounding area has a few different spots for some awesome color during the fall season. From roughly about October 9th-18th, the west side reaches it's "peak" fall foliage colors, so try to make it a plan to get out and about!
2. Visit an Orchard

Take some time to go apple picking or enjoy a cider donut at one of a few orchards in the area. Some notable ones are Robinette's, Blok Orchard, and Moelker's. You'll be sure to experience one of the greatest fall past-times in Michigan this way!
3. Take a Hayride!

Head on over to Schwallier's for a hayride! This is a great date idea or something to do with the kids. Either way, a hayride is a timeless tradition that almost all ages can get behind!
4. Try a corn maze

Enjoy a fall-filled day at Ed Dunneback & Girls Farm by doing a corn maze. After that, check out their pumpkin patch, orchard, and bakery.
5. Pumpkin Train Ride

Head west to Coopersville and board their pumpkin train on the historic Coopersville & Marne Railway. Each paid child's ticket includes a free, locally grown, good-sized Pumpkin that the kids can pick from the Pumpkin Patch at the end of the ride.
