Things to be Thankful for in Grand Rapids
The month ahead is November, and for many, November evokes thoughts of thankfulness. Thankfulness can come in many forms, and we all have different things to be thankful for! Lucky for us, living in Grand Rapids provides us with something new to be thankful for every day.

We took some time to survey residents of the area and ask them what they were most thankful for in the city:
"I love that it’s a big enough city to have a little bit of everything, but not so big that it's overly crowded and has traffic 24/7." - Nate, GR.

"I love the variety here. Want a night out downtown? How about a nice time at a park? You can go 4-wheeling just outside of town, or have plenty of choices of nice courses to go golfing. Beach is less than an hour away too. You can find a nice restaurant for just about any type of food." - Steven, GR

"I love beer, and always having quality breweries at my fingertips is so nice when we want an afternoon out. I live near East town, and my grandparents have always lived right in its center, so even though it’s gone through a lot of changes it still feels like childhood for me." - Chelsea, East GR

"The cost of living, which in turn creates a very high quality of life. Also, I just got back from Europe and since being back I've been kind of gauging places and things I see or feel in my own city based on what a European would think of these same things if you were to transport them here for their first time.
In spite of the overall cleanliness and homogeneity, I feel while in the EU, going to the Downtown Market, Bridge St. Market, Rosa Parks Circle, Ionia St, East town and other spots and thinking of what a first-timer European would think have made me feel pretty prideful of the place I'm from. Other cities are cool, sure, but GR has a good combination of gems." - Brian, GR.

At The Blehm Group, we are thankful for things like the overall pet-friendliness, a strategically convenient Lake Michigan, all of our festivals, experiencing all 4 seasons, being near family, and the abundance of things to do and places to shop.
Whatever you are thankful for this season, make sure to be cognizant of it. Sometimes the little things can make a world of a difference.
