West MI Fourth of July Fireworks

Whether you are in downtown GR, on the Southside, or on the lakeshore, we’ve got you covered when it comes to fireworks and Fourth of July Celebrations. Here are the larger events across Kent and Ottawa Counties this weekend:

Downtown Grand Rapids
Where: Ah-Nab-Awen Park
When: 10:30 PM, July 1st

Get there early for this. Amway puts this event on and it will officially start around 5:30 near the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum with lots of activities for kids including games. There will also be live music, vendors exhibits, and food trucks. The fireworks are expected to start at 10:30 PM.

Kentwood
Where: Crestwood Middle School
When: Dusk, July 4

Kentwood puts on a day-long event that starts with a 5K race & fun walk as well as a parade. The evening event starts at the middle school and includes a carnival complete with rides, games, inflatables, and fireworks at dusk.

Ada/Cascade
Where: Ada Christian School
When: Dusk, July 4

Start off the fourth with a daytime book sale and parade and follow it up games, rides, music and more all afternoon. Fireworks will begin at dusk.

Grandville
Where: 3535 Wilson Ave SW
When: Dusk, July 4

Grandville’s Fourth of July celebration is starting on the 1st with a YMCA Buck Creek Run/Walk and will continue through the 4th with an all day schedule of festivities including crafts, basketball, live music, and fireworks at dusk.

Caledonia
Where: CalPlex
When: Dusk, July 1

A food drive will be held with free parking on site.

East Grand Rapids
Where: Collins Park
When: Dusk, July 4

East GR 4th of July celebrations kick off with a parade through town and continue with family activities centralized in Collins Park. The fireworks will start at dusk.

Holland
Where: Kollen Park & Heinz Waterfront Walkway
When: 10 PM, July 4

Starting at 2 PM there will be music, food, and games. The fireworks display will start at 10.

Grand Haven
Where: Waterfront Stadium
When: Dusk, July 4

The “musical fountain” water show will put on the water show to end all water shows starting at 9:45 PM with a full fireworks show over the lake at the end.
